Q: Which version of BlogPlanet should I download?
A: If you own a Nokia 3650, Siemens SX1 or a phone which supports the Mobile Media API, download
the full version (BlogPlanet). If you own a Siemens 65-series phone (C65, CX65, CFX65, M65, S65 or
SL65), download the special version for these phones (BlogPlanet for Siemens 65-series).
In all other cases, download the light ("LE") version. If your phone is not in the
compatibility list yet but BlogPlanet works on it, please send us a
notice
so that we can update the list.
Q: Does BlogPlanet work on the Nokia 7650?
A: Since the Nokia 7650 doesn't support the Mobile Media API, it's not possible to access the camera
from a Java program. However, you can use BlogPlanet Light, which offers everything the full version
does except the camera/foto features.
Q: How much does BlogPlanet cost?
A: The price is 10 Euros. You will receive a registration key that will work with all three versions (Full, LE and Palm).
The registration will be valid for all future releases of BlogPlanet 1.x.A discount of 5 Euros is available if you register both BlogPlanet and RSS Orbit. Please register the program if you find it useful and support future development. For volume pricing, please contact us directly.
Q: How much does RSS Orbit cost?
A: The price is 10 Euros. You will receive a registration key that will work with the phone and Palm versions.

Q: With which Blog servers/providers does BlogPlanet work?
A: BlogPlanet uses XML-RPC and the BloggerAPI and MetaWeblogAPI for
uploading posts and pictures. Generally any Blog provider that supports
these technologies is also supported by BlogPlanet. Examples are Blogger.com, TypePad, all sites that
run MovableType,
all sites that run B2,
all sites that run Nucleus,
all sites that run Roller.
Of these, currently only TypePad, MovableType and Nucleus servers support image
upload via MetaWeblogAPI.
Q: What are the server settings for Blogger.com?
A: Host name: new.blogger.com, Port: 80,
Endpoint: /api/RPC2, MT Server: <disabled>,
Supports Image Upload: <disabled>A list of settings for other servers is available here.
Q: How can I find out my blog id?
A: Make sure you are using at least version 1.2. In the User properties, use the menu
command "Get blogs" to retrieve a list of your blogs from the server. Chose the blog you would like
to use with BlogPlanet and "Save". This will automatically insert the blog id. "Save" when you
are done with the settings.
Q: How can I turn off the advertisement banner under each post?
A: Register BlogPlanet.
Q: When I click on the download link, I just get a lot of strange characters in
my browser, how can I download the file?
A: Hold the Shift-key while clicking on the download link and select where you want to save the file.
BlogPlanet Compatibility
Here you can find out if BlogPlanet has been verified to run on your phone or PDA. This list is the result of both our own tests and reports by users who have successfully run BlogPlanet on their device. However, it is by no means complete. There are so many phones out there that have the capabilities run BlogPlanet, you should give it a try.
